15 November to 19 november - Design 20.0 Per Consum-Attori

Urban Center

The  exposition organised by garagedesign.it.
The objects exhibited in Bologna will show how a project in which the level narration, irony and communication prevail over the aspects of simple use.
This is how garage design works: If someone has a good idea, they can send it to this new Italian reality and get help with development and engineering.  The product will be made only if a minimum number of samples is ordered through the garage design site.  In this way, the consumer becomes "consumAttore" because with the purchase of the product s/he enters the production process avoiding the typical waste of the "push" market.
Garage design is an "enabler", that is, an intermediary and editor exploiting the potential offered by new technologies.

CONFERENCE

November 19 - “Self Production and new businesses:
how to transform the world of design”

15.00, I Portici Hotel

In self-production, the designer is the architect of the entire production process, the creative intuition for the material realization of the object up to its direct marketing.  The direct involvement in the project involves the revision of the traditional production chain stages and a different approach to research.  On this basis, several subjects are discussed:
Stefano Micelli - Professor of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Economics Università Ca Foscari, and author of Futuro Artigiano
Venanzio Arquilla - researcher from the INDIGO Department of the Politecnico di Milano and coordinator of DesignHUB
Alessandro Molinari - co-creator of Garage Design
Marco Bocola - co-founder of Vectorealism
Massimiliano Adami - designer and self-producer

November 20 - "How do you become self-producers?"

New technologies create open source scenarios for product design and mechanisms for funding and protection that cannot use traditional instruments.
Discussing this:
Elena Brigi - architect, doctor of research and theory of Industrial Patents
Stefano Maffei, - Professor of Services Design, School of Design, Politecnico di Milano and curator of Subalterno1
Vittoria San Pietro - in charge of the companies’ office of Emilbanca
