The winners will be invited by CNA, the organization which sponsors the event, to exhibit in a major event to be held in Bologna.

Open Design Selected is a trade show that promotes the practice of self-production, highlighting its potential and the collaboration between designers,enterprises and craftsmen of the area.
Open Design Italia Selected presents a selection of top designers in Open Design Italia 2010 edition.
"Selected" is a new event designed to wait for the 2012 event and reward with a showcase, both the designers participating in the first edition of the Open Design Italia, who believe in a new exhibition of international significance, as well as sector companies wishing to invest in this new small series design choice.
Open Design Italia Selected also wants to talk about the growth of the most published and award-winning designers in the first edition by showcasing the research concerning national and international self-production having taken place during the year.
Open Design Italia Selected continues to maintain a dual-center of gravity: Bologna and Modena.The geographical and cultural centrality of the two cities is essential to highlighting area products and showcasing them to the whole European Union.
This year the featured city, Bologna will host a typical exhibition moment, which is the trade fair, and the day dedicated to the presentation of the new 2012 Open Design Italia Competition.During the month of November, debates, workshops and special events will be organized in the two cities.

Where?
Open Design Italia Selected 2011 will be held in Bologna in the splendid setting of Palazzo Maccaferri, a fine building from the late 1800s, now home to the luxurious I PORTICI HOTEL.
I Portici Hotel will open its doors to self-produced and small series designs: experience 360° of design, thanks both to the well-studied architectural characteristics of the structure, as well as the exhibition of selected designers and meetings with leading designers, teachers and companies.
The selected designers will have a room in the hotel, where they can exhibit and sell their works.
All rooms on the first and second floor of the hotel will be available for the event. The main floor houses the large ballroom where the announcement of the Open Design Italia 2012 competition will be made.
