The first edition of the Open Design Italia, held in 2010, was a dedicated three day trade fair undertaken within the Foro Boario in Modena, where 51 designers, selected by public competition, from all over Europe and the United States, displayed and sold their products ranging from interior design, product design, fashion design, communication design to urban design.

The event was accompanied by a full program of events OFF: workshops, meetings, conferences and exhibitions in shops.
